I feel like the last month was a lot of stepping out of the box for me and trying some new things!
I have been waiting for the opportunity to photograph a newborn in the hospital and this little one was the perfect first for me! I’m thankful for my husbands flexibility at work that allowed me to head to the hospital within a few hours to photograph this sweet baby so quickly. I really can’t wait to do more sessions like this.
Another new thing for me this month was photographing a benefit at the gym I attend. Our gym came together as a community to raise money for a member battling cancer. It was such an amazing thing to be a part of and photograph. I had never done this type of photography before but I truly enjoyed it.
To kick off August, I photographed yet another new thing for me. A close friend of mine wanted family portraits, however her family doesn’t love taking pictures. We planned more of a lifestyle photo shoot complete with baking with “Lollie”, fishing and ice-cream. The pictures were perfect and I am sure they will be treasured for years to come. This type of sessions isn’t listed on my website yet but something I really hope I can do more of. Capturing the real, authentic moments in the life of this family was an honor.
