Lifestyle sessions are quickly becoming one of my favorite types of photo sessions I offer! The joy of these sessions is the flexibility and laid back nature of them. I would say this is the ideal session for families with young kids. This session allows kids to be themselves, choose their clothes, and let their personality show through. I usually start off with a few posed pictures and then encourage you to choose a few activities your family enjoys together and let me photograph you in those things. My goal in a life style session is to capture real authentic moments of your family just being together.
In the session featured below you will see just that…extended family enjoying life together. This particular family chose to capture some of their favorite things such as baking with the grand kids, fishing by the pond and eating ice cream.
Nothing makes kids happier than sticky fingers and licking the bowl. I am sure “Lollie” will cherish these precious messy photos with her grand-kids for years to come.
This little one was so excited to show off her dress. Mom did get a few other pictures before she changed but I am pretty sure this photo will be enjoyed just as much.
With all the kids running around for this session, I was constantly on my toes. You never know when the four year old will find the whole tub of ice-cream and dig in.
I thought her kissing a fish would make a great picture…she did not agree.
What’s amazing about these sessions is that no two sessions will look the same. Your family is completely different than any other family I have photographed. That means, your pictures will be too! I am always happy to suggest activities for you to do during a photo session but it’s much more fun for you to pick your own. Something as simple as playing fetch with the dog or a BBQ in the back yard can perfectly capture authentic memories for your family.
