March mini sessions

Last year in April I journeyed around Wake Forest and Raleigh taking photos of families on their front porches. The idea came from a series of photographers I had seen participating in “Front Porch Pictures” to document the early days during Covid in the US.

I photographed from further away than normal but seeing past clients, meeting new people and talking with some old neighbors brought joy to me. Through each picture I captured, I hoped that it would be something for families to look back on for years to come, as they remembered this weird time of their lives, that was complete with extra family time and new found love for each other. .

Thinking back on these photo sessions, even though parks are now open and my regular places for photo sessions are an option, I still want to photograph people on their porches. I found that photographing people at their homes helped create more natural and comfortable photos. Not to mention how much easier it is to get your family ready and just walk outside, rather than needing to plan travel time into your day (and make sure nobody forgets their shoes).

I want to take March and kick off the spring season with some Front Porch Mini sessions! These sessions will be 20-30 minutes in length and I will schedule them for 1 or 2 Saturday mornings in March depending on how much interest I have and your location.

Sessions will be $80 and you will get 8-10 full resolution edited images within 2 weeks of your session. If you want to be added to a list to get more information, complete this form and I’ll be in touch!
